3 Things You Can Do Right Now to Release Stagnant or Old Energy

1. Take a deep breath in, and imagine breathing in a pure, white smoke. Then breath out, and imagine breathing out a foggy, black and grey smoke, filled with all energy and anything that is no longer serving you.

2. Lie down in shavasana (pictured above) and close your eyes. Imagine a tornado-like spinning vortex of energy above your head. Pick a color for the vortex. Now imagine the vortex coming down through your head and spinning as it moves slowly from your head, down to your shoulders, to your chest and arms, to your hips and waist, to your legs, and finally your feet. As it spins, picture it spinning away all things that no longer serve you, dissolving them into the void. 

3. Focus on breathing deeply and visualize the breath first breathing into your lower stomach area, filling up your lower stomach area and then pausing, then breathing in again (without breathing out) filling up your middle abdomen area and then pausing, then breathing in for a third time filling up your chest area. Allow the breath to fully fill each area of your stomach and then release in one easy, comfortable sigh.
